Wife of the late Louis Muenstermann; dear daughter of the late Carl and Elsie Wesche; beloved mother and mother-in-law of Carol and Art Weissler and Lois (the late Roy) Jones; dear grandmother of Cheryl Entwistle, Mike Weissler, Dawn (Joe) Wuest, Mike (Patty) Jones, Rhonda Grabner, Allen (Heather) Jones, Chris Jones, Brian (Karen) Jones and Roy Lee (Robin) Jones; great-grandmother of Andy (Karen), Denny (Jill), Amanda, Brooke, Drew, Lauren, Erin, Christopher, Ryne, Alex, Hayden, Nicholas, Brittany (Nick), Justin, Brendon, Jessica, Ian, Hanna, Samuel, Hunter and Rachel; great-great-grandmother of Hannah, Jaxon, Bradon, Levi and Raylyn; loving sister of the late William Wesche, Margaret Eggert, Carl Wesche and Oscar Wesche; special friend of Chris Hughes, Cora Donovan, the Dillon family and Kevin Entwistle , Karen Weissler and Maria Jones; our dear aunt and friend to many. Rose was a huge St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. She cherished her family and lived life to the fullest. Online guestbook at www.hutchensmortuary.com A LITTLE SOMETHING MORE ABOUT ROSE: Rose Katherine Wesche was born on March 7, 1915 to Carl & Elsie Wesche. Carl & Elsie came from Germany and were married on February 5, 1914. She was born in St. Louis and lived on Natural Bridge Road with her three brothers and one sister. Rose was the oldest followed by her brother Bill who was born in 1917. Her one and only sister, Margaret was born in 1919. Charles Jr. was born in 1922. And her youngest brother Oscar was born 1925. Rose's grandparents Fred Charles & Anna Heitmann were Elsie's parents. Rose attended Fee Fee School which was a one room school house and she graduated from grade school in 1929. Her family rented a bigger farmhouse on Natural Bridge at this time. In 1932 her family moved to a better location and an even bigger farmhouse and more acreage in the Spanish Lake area located on Parker Road in between Bellefontaine Road and Highway 367. The move was done by using a wagon pulled by mules. Rose said that they did not have much, but that the furniture was moved by using a truck. Her parents had bought 15 acres at this time. Three of the acres were sold to another family, the rest would be divided by all the siblings when both of their parents were gone. Carl died May 31, 1960 and Elsie died July 2, 1963. Rose met Louis Muenstermann in the year of 1937. Louis worked for a neighbor of Rose's helping on the farm. She met Louis on a Saturday night with Marge while attending the Balbarts Dance Hall, which was located at the corner of Bellefontaine & Parker Road. Rose & Louis were married on October 29, 1939. They had two daughters, Carol was born in 1940 and Lois born in 1941. In December of 1942 Louis was stationed in Birmingham Alabama serving in the Army. Louis was in World War II where he was hurt while in Normandie Beach. He ended up in Versailles, France while recuperating while Rose stayed in Alabama. Louis was released from service in 1944 and they moved back to St. Louis near Cass & 10th Street. Their next house would be located at 20th & Benton above a bakery and close to Zion Lutheran Church. In September of 1952 Louis died from complications due to cancer. In 1964, Marge & Vernon Eggert built a ranch house next door to Rose's house (their Parents farmhouse). In 1966 Oscar Wesche would build a house on the other side of their parents farmhouse. Rose's brother Bill Wesche would eventually sell his portion of the property to a Church/Daycare. In 1953 Rose worked for Small Arms Company where ammunition was made for military. From 1957 to 1967 she worked for Beltex Company, a garment fabric company on the 6th floor. In 1967 she worked at Modern Jacket Company on the 5th floor until she retired in 1982. Rose's family and friends were so important to her. Her bowling friends, friends from her church, Salem Lutheran on Parker Road. Her door was always open to all to drop in and stay. Maybe you would take a jar of homemade jelly home with you or some homemade coffee cake. Or you would stop by to listen to the Cardinals on the radio. Whatever the reason being she always loved to see you! There would be many parties and holidays that would be celebrated with friends and family over the years. In 2004 at the age of 89 Rose would sell her farm house and moved in with Art & Carol.
