Jeannette Senter

Jeannette L. Senter, 94, passed away at her home on Monday, January 16, 2017 She was born on June 20, 1922 in St. Louis MO to the late Fillmore and Elsie (Dunkman) Martin. She is survived by her children, Steve (Mary) Everingham of Montgomery City, Susan Hilker of Florissant, Patty Everingham of Hazelwood and Bruce (Jackie) Everingham of St. Charles; dear grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 20 and a great, great grandmother of 1. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Arthur Everingham, and her brother Roy Martin and his wife Annabelle. She is a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Arthur had passed away at an early age and she remarried later in life to the late Glenn Senter from North Carolina. She had worked at Christian Northeast and Northwest Hospital as a CPD technician. She had made numerous friends at work, Eleanora Manalang and Liguya Maly were special to her. She and Eleanora became best of friends outside of work. They and their spouses spent many happy times together. Jeannette and Glenn retired at the same time and became world travelers. They loved Italy, France, Germany and England. They also traveled throughout the United States. She and her good friend, Ruth Krueger from Zion Lutheran Church spent many hours discussing their various travels. Ruth has been a wonderful friend to Jeannette and her family thanks her very much for everything she done to help them. Jeannette was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ferguson. Her faith was very important to her. She worked with friends to make Quilts and donated the money to the church. She was an avid reader and St. Louis Cardinal fan from early on. She loved watching McGuire and Sammy Sosa, but lately Molina was her man. She loved sewing and made clothes for her children. She also enjoyed needlepoint and tole painting. A lover of music, she spent many happy times at the Fox and Muny. She got her life long dream to ride a camel last Sept. But most of all she loved her family, friends and dogs, Lucky and Snickers, who were great companions. The family would like to thanks Vitas Hospice, the nurses became wonderful friends and provided great care and support. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 3 - 8pm at Hutchens Mortuary. Funeral service will be 10am Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Hutchens Mortuary, 675 Graham Rd, Florissant MO. . Burial will follow in the Lake Charles Park Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stray Rescue or Zion Lutheran Church, 123 Carson Road, Ferguson MO We love you Mom and you will be greatly missed.
