ANNE MARIE RASMUSSEN Age 84, entered into God’s heavenly gates on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Beloved mother of Robin Cracchiolo-Lindsey of Moscow Mills, MO and Timothy Jon Rasmussen of Florissant, MO; loving grandmother of Felicia Marie Cracchiolo of Granite City, IL, Jesse Christopher Lindsey and Thomas Robert Lindsey, both of Moscow Mills, MO; proud great-grandmother of Wyatt Richard Villinger and Leah Anne Villinger, both of Troy, MO; devoted aunt and friend to many. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Richard Lee Rasmussen, mother Clara Estelle Adams (nee Hudson), father Giles Monroe Adams; sisters Virginia (Benny) Harrison, Dorothy (Rawlings) Burnette, Lucille Moon, Hazel (Freddie) Ray, and brother Raymond Monroe Adams. Anne worked in occupations ranging from administrative secretary to test driver at Ford Motor Company. However, her proudest accomplishment was graduating from nursing school in 1976 and working in the now-closed psychiatric unit at Missouri Baptist Hospital, where she developed a deep and lasting friendship with fellow registered nurses Norma Manno of Florissant, Nancy Treu of Riverview Gardens, and Mary Brice of St. Louis. Anne's heart's desire was to help others in their pursuit for God. Throughout the years she led many ladies' groups, prayer circles, dialog groups, and Bible study and Sunday School classes. In the 1960's, she was part of her church liturgical dance company and served on mission trips to Mexico. Anne will be remembered fondly for her heart-filled joy, her affection for family and friends, her patience, kindness, wise counsel and independent spirit. Above all, she will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her upside down Christmas tree. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
